Indonesia's Surge (WIFI) Subsidiary Raises Rp2.4 Trillion via Samurai Bond in Japan
Indonesia's digital infrastructure provider PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) and its subsidiary PT Integrasi Jaringan Ekosistem (WEAVE) issued Samurai Bonds in Japan totaling JPY 21.4 billion (approximately Rp 2.4 trillion). The issuance was split into two series: a three‑year bond of JPY 19.4 billion with a 3.40% coupon and a five‑year bond of JPY 2 billion with a 3.92% coupon, both rated BBB+ by Japan Credit Rating Agency. Daiwa Securities acted as sole arranger, bookrunner and underwriter, while Mizuho Bank served as fiscal agent.
The proceeds are earmarked for capital expenditures to expand and maintain fiber‑to‑the‑home (FTTH) networks and related telecom infrastructure in Indonesia, as well as for working‑capital needs, refinancing existing debt and other general corporate purposes. The financing marks a significant step in accessing international capital markets and underscores growing investor confidence in Indonesia’s digital infrastructure sector.
