Indore bus collision causes vehicle to crash into roadside eatery
A collision between two buses occurred on Dhar Road near Green Park in Indore on Sunday morning, resulting in a Chartered bus crashing into a roadside eatery.
The accident was triggered when a Chhabra bus, traveling toward Dhar, reportedly made a negligent U-turn near a petrol pump to reach the station. This caused a collision with a Chartered bus traveling from Dhar to Indore. Following the impact, the Chartered bus lost control, broke through the wall of the ‘Sher-e-Punjab’ (also referred to as Punjabi Desi) dhaba, and entered the kitchen area.
The driver of the Chartered bus, Gajraj Sankhla, sustained a leg fracture and was injured in the crash. While some passengers reportedly sustained minor injuries, no other major casualties were reported. The incident occurred around 7:00 AM while the dhaba was closed to customers, though a few employees were sleeping inside at the time.
Local police have registered a case against the Chhabra bus driver for negligent driving and have seized both vehicles for investigation.
