Indore: Congress protests over road subsidence and poor infrastructure

The Indian National Congress has launched protests in Indore against deteriorating road conditions and alleged corruption within the municipal corporation. In the Gadi Adda area, a road subsidence created a pit approximately 20 feet deep, prompting local leaders to perform a symbolic ‘dedication’ of the hole to Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav by placing flower garlands on it.

Additionally, Indore City Congress President Chintu Choukse staged a protest by sitting on a mud-filled service road near Bombay Hospital. Residents claim the road has remained unrepaired for two years following excavations for drainage lines. The Congress party has demanded an investigation into the quality of recent development works and has threatened more intense demonstrations, including road blockades, if repairs do not begin within five days.
