Indore police investigate mysterious death of beautician in hotel

Police in Indore have launched an investigation following the mysterious death of 32-year-old beautician Sonali Sharma at a hotel in the Tilak Nagar area. Sharma, a resident of Sundar Nagar, had checked into the LX Hotel on Wednesday afternoon accompanied by an acquaintance identified as Deepak Khandelwal, a pipe trader.

According to reports, Khandelwal alerted hotel staff after Sharma’s health rapidly deteriorated. He reportedly took her to Akshat Hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Following the medical emergency, Khandelwal disappeared from the hospital and remains untraceable.

Investigators noted that foam was present around the deceased's mouth, leading authorities to suspect potential poisoning. However, the official cause of death will be determined by a post-mortem examination at MY Hospital. Local police have seized hotel registry logs and CCTV footage to examine the circumstances of the incident and determine if foul play was involved.
