Indore: Woman arrested for allegedly killing grandfather with cricket bat

A 20-year-old college student has been arrested in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for the alleged murder of her 75-year-old grandfather. According to police, the suspect arrived at her grandparents' residence on a motorcycle late Saturday night and attacked the victim with a cricket bat, striking him repeatedly on the head.

The victim, a retired member of the Special Armed Forces (SAF), died from his injuries. The suspect, who resides in Mahalaxmi Nagar, reportedly traveled to the scene following a dispute with her parents.

During interrogation, the woman claimed the killing was an act of retaliation for long-term abuse and sexual harassment allegedly perpetrated by her grandfather when she was a child. She stated she had kept the matter secret for years to avoid family shame and mental distress. Police are currently investigating the validity of these claims and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
