Indosat and Telkom Indonesia announce major leadership changes
Major Indonesian telecommunications companies Indosat and Telkom Indonesia have announced significant leadership changes and strategic shifts following Extraordinary General Meetings of Shareholders (RUPSLB).
PT Indosat Tbk has officially extended the term of President Director and CEO Vikram Sinha. This decision aims to maintain momentum for the company’s 'AI North Star' strategy, which focuses on developing AI infrastructure, cloud capabilities, and an integrated AI ecosystem. The meeting also approved changes to the Board of Commissioners, including the resignation of Seppalga Ahmad.
PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has appointed Nanang Hendarno as the new President Director, replacing Dian Siswarini, who served for approximately 16 months. Hendarno, formerly the Director of Network, is a veteran within the Telkom Group.
During the same meeting, Telkom shareholders approved the second phase of separating its wholesale fiber connectivity business to PT Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia. This move is part of the 'TKLM 30' strategy to transform the company into a strategic holding entity and optimize the management of high-value assets.
