Indra posts 30% revenue rise and modest profit gain in H1 2026

Indra reported first‑half‑2026 revenues of €3.179 billion, up about 30% year‑on‑year, while net profit reached €219 million, a 2% increase. EBITDA climbed 72% to €456 million and the order backlog more than doubled to €20.5 billion.

The defence division was the main driver, posting €973 million of revenue, a 103% jump, and the company highlighted new contracts for Eurofighter, radar systems and other military projects. CEO Josep Maria Recasens said the results confirm the group’s industrial capabilities and announced a focus on the IndraMind artificial‑intelligence platform for critical‑infrastructure protection.

Following the release, Indra’s shares surged roughly 7% on the Madrid stock exchange, lifting market capitalisation by about €640 million. Analysts cited the strong operating performance and the expanding order book as reasons for the upbeat market reaction.
