Indra sees shareholder shifts and major IRIS² contract win

Indra is experiencing significant shifts in its shareholder structure and business outlook. The US-based asset manager T. Rowe Price Associates has reduced its stake in the technology and defense company from 5.009% to 4.993%, according to CNMV filings. This position, valued at approximately €564.63 million based on a share price of €64, follows the exit of the Escribano brothers earlier this year.

On the operational side, Indra's subsidiary Hispasat has secured a major contract for the ground networks of the European IRIS² programme, valued at over €1.6 billion. This contract is expected to strengthen the group's exposure to the space sector and increase visibility for its order book, which has reached €20.533 billion.

Financial results for the first half of 2026 show Indra reported a net profit of €219 million, a 2.1% increase compared to the same period last year. When adjusted for non-recurring effects from the previous year, the comparable net profit growth is estimated at 58.7%. The company also reported a 29.7% year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching €3.179 billion.
