Indra to supply Lanza 3D radar to Thailand

Indra has secured a contract to supply a new long-range Lanza 3D radar to the Royal Thai Air Force. The system will be deployed at the Phuket Air Base, a location strategically positioned near major maritime routes connecting the Indian Ocean and the Strait of Malacca.

This acquisition marks the third Lanza 3D system procured by Thailand as part of a broader program to modernize its airspace surveillance and control capabilities. The contract, signed in Madrid, includes integration with Indra’s AIRDEF command and control system to enhance airspace management architecture.

The Lanza 3D LRR utilizes AESA technology and is designed to detect a wide range of threats, including drones and stealth aircraft, even in challenging atmospheric conditions such as high humidity. The system is intended to strengthen regional security and surveillance in Southeast Asia.
