Indra unveils DRIZZLE autonomous drone interceptor

Indra has introduced DRIZZLE, a new family of autonomous interceptors designed to counter mass drone attacks and protect critical infrastructure. The system is engineered to address the rising threat of modified commercial drones and low-cost loitering munitions in modern conflicts.

Operating at speeds exceeding 400 km/h with an initial range of approximately 80 km, the DRIZZLE interceptor offers a more cost-effective alternative to high-end missiles. The system utilizes electro-optical and infrared sensors combined with real-time processing to detect, track, and neutralize hostile targets while distinguishing them from friendly aircraft and obstacles. Future development phases may include the integration of radar to enhance detection capabilities.
