Indragiri Hilir students receive 184 BPDP scholarships

A total of 184 students from Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Regency have successfully secured higher education opportunities through the Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan (BPDP) scholarship program. The achievement aims to improve local human resource quality by providing access to universities for youth, particularly those facing economic constraints.

A thanksgiving event was held on September 13, 2026, at the Patma Jaya Futsal Field in Kempas District to celebrate the recipients. The event was attended by the Acting Regent of Inhil, Herman, who emphasized that the scholarship is a valuable opportunity to pursue education without financial burdens.

Herman urged the students to study diligently, maintain discipline, and uphold the reputation of their families and the Indragiri Hilir Regency. He further encouraged the recipients to return and contribute to the development of the region upon completing their studies. The BPDP scholarship program also includes recipients from other areas, such as Pekanbaru, Siak, and Aceh.
