Indrawati Gobel appointed NasDem Party Chair in Gorontalo

Indrawati Gobel has been appointed as the Chairperson of the NasDem Party's Regional Leadership Council (DPW) in Gorontalo, effective September 14, 2026. Her appointment follows the departure of Rachmat Gobel and is viewed as a move by Surya Paloh to ensure political continuity through the Gobel family.

Indrawati inherits a significant political foundation due to her family's long-standing social ties in Gorontalo and the influence of her brother, Rachmat Gobel, who was a major figure in the 2024 elections. Her leadership comes at a time when two major parties in Gorontalo are led by women, with the Golkar Party also headed by a female leader, Idah Syahidah.
