inDrive contributes 7.45 trillion pesos to Colombia's economy

The mobility platform inDrive contributed 7.45 trillion Colombian pesos to the national economy in 2025, representing approximately 0.4% of Colombia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). According to a technical report by Ipsos Napoleón Franco, this economic impact exceeds the total state budget allocated to Housing, City, and Territory for 2026.

Using the Leontief Input-Output methodology based on official DANE matrices, the study highlighted a multiplier effect where every peso earned by a driver expands the local proximity economy by two pesos. This activity supports an estimated 51,900 indirect jobs in sectors such as automotive workshops, service stations, insurance companies, and retail.

Regarding the workforce, 75% of surveyed drivers reported being the primary or sole provider for their households. The platform's peer-to-peer (P2P) model allows for operational flexibility, with 59% of drivers balancing service with caregiving responsibilities for minors, elderly individuals, or people with disabilities.
