Indústria Naval Catarinense begins Transpetro pusher construction

Indústria Naval Catarinense (INC), located in Navegantes, has begun steel plate cutting for the first of 18 pushers ordered by Transpetro. The contract is valued at R$ 324 million.

According to INC General Director Josuan Moraes Jr, the construction of these azimuthal pushers follows the approval of projects by the Bureau Veritas classification society. The delivery schedule is set to begin in August 2027, with the final unit expected in June 2028.

To meet this aggressive timeline, the shipyard has reinforced its team and is working with local partners and external block providers to increase productivity. INC is also managing several other vessel projects for various maritime clients scheduled for delivery through 2027.
