IndusInd Bank joins PCAF to track financed emissions
IndusInd Bank has joined the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), a global collaboration of financial institutions. The partnership aims to implement a harmonized approach for measuring and disclosing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with financial activities.
By adopting the PCAF methodology, the bank intends to establish a credible baseline for emissions linked to its lending and investment portfolio. This framework is designed to help the institution assess climate-related risks, identify decarbonization opportunities, and enhance the transparency of its climate-related disclosures. The initiative supports the bank’s broader strategy to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into its business and risk management processes, contributing to the transition toward a low-carbon economy.
