Industria Kielce opened their handball Champions League campaign with a narrow 30:29 victory against Swiss champions HC Kriens-Lucerna at the Legionów Hall.

Despite facing significant roster challenges due to injuries to players including Milorad Bakić, Arkadiusz Moryto, Szymon Sićko, and Michał Olejniczak, the Polish champions managed to secure the win. Arciom Karalek contributed five goals, while Aleks Vlah led the scoring for Kielce with eight.

The match was highly competitive; after a 19:15 halftime lead for Industria Kielce, the Swiss side fought back in the second half, narrowing the gap to a single goal. However, Kielce maintained their advantage to finish the game ahead. This season marks a new Champions League format featuring 24 teams divided into six groups.
