Industrial Analytics launches AI software to optimize HVAC energy efficiency

Industrial Analytics IA GmbH, a subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG, has introduced OPTIFICIENT, an AI-driven software designed to optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The software uses hybrid AI models that combine artificial intelligence with physics-based models to mimic the expertise of HVAC engineers.

By automatically adjusting setpoints in real-time while maintaining defined operational limits, the software aims to reduce energy costs and emissions in existing buildings and industrial facilities. In completed projects, OPTIFICIENT has achieved annual HVAC energy savings ranging from five to 30 percent, depending on the building type. The solution is intended for critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, office buildings, and semiconductor manufacturing plants.
