Industrial developments in Niger and Benin focus on manufacturing and recycling

Niger's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdoulaye Seydou, inspected the CBM industrial complex in Badaguichiri. The visit included a review of the cement plant and the reinforced concrete steel manufacturing facility. During the inspection of the steel plant's furnaces and packaging lines, as well as the cement plant's quality analysis laboratory, the Minister praised the significant investments made at the site. He emphasized the government's commitment to economic autonomy and local industrial transformation.

In Benin, the National Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control (ANM) conducted a technical visit to the Compagnie Béninoise de Production de Polypropylène (CBPP) in Ahozon. The visit aimed to prepare the upcoming launch of a Valdeo granule production plant, which focuses on recycling and valorizing plastic waste. The promoter, Loukman Sani Agatha, expressed interest in partnering with the ANM to ensure production quality, implement traceability systems, and develop staff expertise in metrology and industrial standards.
