Industrial electrification and portable energy solutions drive decarbonization

Industrial sectors are facing a radical transformation driven by process electrification, decarbonization, and automation. This shift requires a move away from traditional infrastructure planning, which previously focused on simple capacity increases, toward designing flexible and scalable electrical systems capable of evolving alongside industry needs.

In Chile, the push for operational efficiency and emission reductions is driving industries like mining and construction to seek alternatives to traditional combustion generators. German technology provider Instagrid has introduced portable professional energy solutions to the Chilean market. The Instagrid ONE system offers high power and autonomy in a compact, transportable format, allowing for the operation of professional tools without the need for continuous combustion engine use.

For more demanding applications, modular configurations such as LINK or LINK MAX can combine units to provide three-phase 400 V power, reaching up to 11 kW of nominal power and 54 kW peak. These advancements aim to address the high power demands of intermittent tasks like welding, cutting, and machinery maintenance while supporting broader decarbonization goals.
