Porto de Santos fire affects Moinho Paulista S/A terminal

A fire broke out at the Porto de Santos in Brazil on Thursday afternoon, affecting a retroport terminal in the Paquetá region. The blaze reportedly started on a conveyor belt and an elevator used by Moinho Paulista S/A, a service provider for Nita Alimentos.

Emergency response efforts included the Fire Department, the Port Guard, and the brigade from the neighboring trading company Cofco International. The rapid intervention helped control the flames and prevent further spread to adjacent equipment.

Moinho Paulista S/A confirmed the incident and stated that no injuries were reported. The company is currently investigating the causes of the fire and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences. The Port Authority of Santos (APS) supervised the operations and noted that the containment followed the port's Mutual Aid Plan.
