Industrial investments announced in Río Grande and Rosario
Athuel Electrónica has reached an agreement to reactivate an industrial plant in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego. The company will take over the facilities, machinery, and equipment previously operated by Aires del Sur S.A. The project involves a planned investment of one million dollars over the next year to adapt the site for the production of climate control equipment, including indoor and outdoor units, window units, and related components.
In Rosario, Grupo Elementa has agreed to purchase the grain storage, milling, and refining facilities of the Santa Clara complex from Molinos Río de la Plata. Elementa plans to invest 100 million dollars to modernize the plant, increase milling capacity to 465,000 tons annually, and expand oil refining to 170,000 tons. The transition, expected to be completed by November 2026, aims to maintain existing staff under the oil industry collective agreement while generating additional temporary employment during the construction phase.
