Industrial trade fairs highlight Polish manufacturing competitiveness

Recent industrial exhibitions in Poland have underscored a shift toward quality and local supply chain reliability over price competition. The TOOLEX and ExpoWELDING trade fairs in Katowice hosted 5,500 participants and 170 exhibitors from 16 countries, focusing on machine tools, welding, and processing technologies.

Industry experts noted that Polish enterprises are gaining a competitive edge through technical competence, timely deliveries, and localized after-sales service. This is particularly evident in sectors such as offshore, energy, and defense, where certified materials and proximity to production are critical. While competition from Asian manufacturers remains, the emphasis has moved toward advanced construction and logistical reliability.

In the plastics and rubber sector, the PLASTPOL international trade fair continues to expand its global footprint. Following a milestone 30th edition that drew 660 exhibitors from 36 countries, organizers are preparing for PLASTPOL 2027 in Kielce. The upcoming event will utilize a new exhibition hall to accommodate heavy industrial machinery and complete technological lines, aiming to facilitate direct B2B engagement and live demonstrations.
