Industrial Vocational Training in Spain’s Basque Country and Navarre Shows Strong Job Prospects

Recent data indicate that higher‑level industrial vocational programmes (Formación Profesional) are delivering solid employment outcomes in the Basque Country (CAV) and Navarre. Lanbide, the Basque employment service, published its 2025 survey of the 2023 FP cohort, showing that 54.4 % of graduates obtained a job within two years of finishing. The Ministry of Education’s 2024 TodoFP report confirms similar rates nationwide.

The fields with the highest placement rates are Informatics and Communications, Mechanical Manufacturing, Installation and Maintenance, and Electricity and Electronics. These specialisations match regional industrial demand for automation, predictive maintenance, robotics, advanced machining, programming, networking and energy‑efficiency solutions, positioning graduates for technical roles in plants and digitalised production lines.
