Industrias Tajín breaks ground on new production complex in Tala, Jalisco

Industrias Tajín has broken ground on a new industrial complex, the Capsicum ‘Sabores de México’, in Tala, Jalisco. The project aims to expand the company’s production capacity for chili and spices to strengthen its international presence across America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa.

The new facility will cover over 11,000 square meters of construction on a 15,788-square-meter site. A key feature of the expansion is the implementation of advanced sterilization technology using dry saturated steam to sanitize chili peppers. This technological upgrade was a primary factor in the decision to expand, as the company sought more efficient sanitization methods.

Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus participated in the ceremony, noting that Tajín currently generates approximately 7,000 direct jobs in the state and sells more than 300 million bottles globally in over 70 countries. CEO Horacio Fernández Castillo stated that the complex will improve production processes and support the company’s growing export needs.
