Industrivärden increases stake in Volvo Group
Investment company Industrivärden has purchased an additional 1.5 million Volvo shares for approximately 467 million SEK, bringing its total holdings to 199.3 million shares. This represents 9.80 percent of the capital and 28.31 percent of the votes.
This latest acquisition follows a series of purchases throughout the year, including 900,000 B-shares in May and 1.3 million shares in July. In total, these three transactions involve roughly 3.7 million shares valued at over 1.2 billion SEK. The most recent purchase was made at a price nearly 14 percent lower per share than the July transaction.
Despite strong third-quarter results from Volvo Group, which saw net sales increase by 8 percent to 119.5 billion SEK and adjusted operating profit rise to 14.7 billion SEK, the stock has faced recent downward pressure. Volvo B shares have declined by over 4 percent in the past week and nearly 13 percent over the last three months.
