Industry conferences in Brno address legislative and strategic shifts

Two major professional conferences held in Brno are addressing critical regulatory and strategic developments within their respective sectors.

The MEATING 2026 conference, organized by the Czech Meat Processors Association, focused on the meat industry's response to evolving food legislation and European regulations. Key topics included the development of cultivated meat, retail trends, and the impact of the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Experts from supervisory bodies such as the State Veterinary Administration and the Czech Trade Inspection Authority participated in discussions regarding the sector's strategic direction and international trade outlook.

The 2026 Water and Sewerage Conference is scheduled for November 3 in Brno. The event will focus on the National Implementation Plan (NIP) for the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, which is expected to be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture shortly before the conference. The program aims to provide strategic information to water management professionals, covering topics such as new regulatory parameters, security in a geopolitical context involving the Czech Army and BIS, flood protection systems, and the implementation of European directives regarding equal pay.
