Alex Palou wins IndyCar Grand Prix of Portland
Alex Palou secured a dominant victory at the 2026 IndyCar Grand Prix of Portland at the Portland International Raceway. Driving for Chip Ganassi Racing, Palou led 60 of the 110 laps to claim his sixth win of the season and 25th career victory, extending his championship lead to 110 points.
Felix Rosenqvist, driving for Meyer Shank Racing, started from the pole position after edging Palou in a close qualifying session. Rosenqvist finished the race in second place. Will Power of Andretti Global completed the podium in third. The race featured a pivotal pit strategy where Palou overtook Rosenqvist during the first round of stops.
In the INDY NXT series, Alessandro de Tullio secured pole position and led all 35 laps to win the Grand Prix of Portland for AJ Foyt Racing. De Tullio's victory was his second of the season, following a narrow win at Barber Motorsports Park earlier in the year.
