IndyCar reveals first eight races of 2027 schedule

IndyCar has announced the first phase of its 2027 NTT IndyCar Series schedule, revealing the dates and locations for the first eight races. The season will feature an accelerated start with three consecutive race weekends, a format used in 2026.

The 2027 campaign begins on March 7 at the Streets of St. Petersburg, followed by Phoenix Raceway on March 13, and the Streets of Arlington on March 21. The initial eight-race stretch continues with Barber Motorsports Park on April 4, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 18, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course on May 15, the 111th Indianapolis 500 on May 30, and the Streets of Detroit on June 6.

For the third consecutive season, all IndyCar races will be broadcast on FOX. This follows a period of significant growth for the series, which reported a 16 percent increase in viewership during the current season, marking its highest levels since 2008.
