The NTT IndyCar Series season finale has commenced at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. Alex Palou, the 2026 series champion, led the first practice sessions with a top time of 1:09.899, seeking his third consecutive victory at the circuit.

Pato O’Ward secured third place in the opening practice, maintaining a tight battle for the runner-up position in the championship standings against rivals Kyle Kirkwood and Christian Lundgaard. Felix Rosenqvist followed Palou in second place during the sessions.

The weekend features several notable incidents, including Josef Newgarden spinning at Turn 6 and Santino Ferrucci hitting a tire barrier at Turn 9. Additionally, the event includes a historic IndyCar exhibition featuring 30 vintage machines and legendary drivers such as Bobby Rahal and Tony Kanaan.
