INE conducts exams for 176 electoral service positions

The National Electoral Institute (INE) successfully conducted the knowledge examination for the 2026 Public Competition to enter the National Professional Electoral Service (SPEN) within the Local Public Organism system. The examination took place on Saturday, September 19, across all 32 Mexican states.

A total of 7,008 applicants participated in the process, competing for 176 available vacancies across 28 states. The evaluation was carried out with the support of the National Center for Higher Education Evaluation (CENEVAL), which deployed 517 personnel to manage the testing sites.

The INE coordinated logistics, institutional cooperation, and applicant reception through its Executive Directorate of the National Professional Electoral Service (DESPEN), local executive boards, and local public organisms. The process included reasonable adjustments and specialized support for applicants with disabilities to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
