INE faces resource crisis for mobile modules in Campeche

The National Electoral Institute (INE) is facing a resource crisis in Campeche, threatening the operation of mobile registration modules. A lack of funds for fuel and travel expenses has put these modules at risk, which could prevent citizens in remote areas from accessing voter registration services.

The INE is currently managing a budget deficit of 155.3 million pesos and has implemented austerity measures to achieve additional savings of 143.4 million pesos. During a field operation working group session, representatives from the PRI and PT requested detailed reports on the situation, noting that districts 1 and 2 in Campeche may only have enough resources for two or three days of operation.

Officials from the Federal Register of Electors acknowledged the shortages in Campeche but stated that they are coordinating with the Executive Directorate of Administration to secure the necessary funds for fuel and continued operations.
