INE hosts national meeting for community and indigenous radio

The National Electoral Institute (INE) hosted the Third National Meeting with representatives of community, indigenous, and Afro-Mexican radio stations. The event aimed to strengthen institutional links with original peoples to promote political-electoral rights.

During the meeting, officials announced the creation of three new radio content translations in Purépecha, Nahuatl, and Tzeltal to disseminate the political rights of indigenous and Afro-Mexican women. The initiative, which included the campaign ‘Nuestras voces cuentan’, reached over 220,000 listeners in 2025. Additionally, the INE conducted a workshop on handling complaints regarding political violence against women based on gender.
