INE implements audits and extended hours for voter services

The National Electoral Institute (INE) is implementing several measures to support the 2026-2027 federal electoral process and the intensive annual campaign for updating the electoral roll.

In Veracruz, the INE will conduct internal audits of citizen attention modules from October 1 to October 7. These audits aim to verify compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and ensure consistent procedures across all modules. An external review of the Quality Management System is also scheduled for November.

In Querétaro, the INE has extended operating hours for modules in Querétaro, Corregidora, and San Juan del Río to accommodate the registration campaign. Modules will now operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, with Saturday hours until 3:00 PM. This expansion includes the hiring of 15 additional staff members to assist citizens, particularly youth, in updating their voter credentials before the campaign concludes in January 2027.
