İnegöl Mayor Alper Taban advocates for province status

İnegöl Mayor Alper Taban stated during a municipal council meeting that the district is a natural candidate to become a province if the Turkish government initiates a reorganization of provincial borders. Taban argued that İnegöl already functions with the operational capacity of a province due to its population potential, strong economic data, geographic size, and high volume of transactions within public institutions.

During the meeting, which also honored local students for achievements in gastronomy and arm wrestling, Taban emphasized that the local administration conducts its projects and campus investments with a provincial scale in mind. He asserted that the district’s candidacy is based on data rather than sentiment.
