İzmir murder investigation reveals suspect had 21 criminal records

In İzmir's Karabağlar district, 27-year-old Yaşar Can Güler was killed after a dispute with 26-year-old F. K. Security footage captured the fatal encounter, showing the suspect striking Güler with a blunt object before strangling him for several minutes. The suspect, who was apprehended by police, reportedly has 21 prior criminal records, including offenses related to narcotics and intentional injury.

Güler's father, Baki Güler, has publicly criticized the justice system, questioning why an individual with such an extensive criminal history was not incarcerated. He also reported receiving threats intended to prevent further investigation into the incident.

In separate incidents in Turkey, a fatal car collision in Antalya's Serik district resulted in the deaths of two men, including Taner Durmaz. In a tragic coincidence, Durmaz's father, a municipal worker, arrived at the scene to assist only to discover the victim was his son. Additionally, in Kocaeli's Darıca district, authorities are investigating the deaths of three siblings whose bodies were found on the shore; preliminary autopsy reports suggest drowning and the presence of alcohol, with no immediate signs of physical struggle.
