İnegöl, Turkey Begins Gülaven Peach Harvest
The harvest of the Gülaven peach variety started in early August 2026 in the İsaören neighbourhood of İnegöl, Bursa Province. The season’s first picking is soon to be followed by harvest of the Kristalven peach.
Erhan Ulu, president of the İsaören Rural Development Cooperative, said the crop showed strong yields and that farmer‑selling prices were between 20 and 25 Turkish lira per kilogram, while collection costs were about 5 lira per kilogram. Producers are urging authorities to expand export opportunities to improve incomes.
Local muhtar İsmail Çıbukcu noted a high harvest and good fruit quality, and called for the establishment of an aroma‑processing plant or similar facility to add value and support farmers during lean seasons. He also invited residents to taste the fresh İnegöl peaches.
