Ineke Schaddelee selected as fourth alderman for Zeewolde

Ineke Schaddelee has been selected as the fourth alderman for the municipality of Zeewolde following a search involving 71 applicants. Schaddelee, a member of the ChristenUnie from Gouda, was chosen to help strengthen the municipal executive.

The decision to appoint a fourth alderman was made by the coalition parties—Leefbaar Zeewolde, VVD, and ChristenUnie—due to the high volume of complex dossiers facing the municipality, including the development of Oosterwold and a potential new fire station.

To foster a different administrative culture, the coalition decided that the fourth position should not be tied to a specific political faction. This approach aims to ensure the alderman is supported by the broader municipal council rather than a single party. Schaddelee is scheduled to be proposed to the municipal council on Thursday, October 1.
