Inelectric launches hybrid retrofit for historic Fiat 500 in Maratea

In Maratea, the engineering firm Inelectric presented a hybrid and electric retrofit platform designed for historic boats and classic cars, including the Fiat 500 “spiaggina”. The system combines hybrid kits for vessels, electric kits for vintage cars, and solar‑powered charging stations, creating a self‑sufficient renewable‑energy ecosystem aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and noise in coastal tourism.

A few days later, Vitorchiano hosted the inaugural “Fuori le Mura” Fiat 500 gathering. Clubs from the Lazio region and local officials attended, showcasing the cultural and tourism value of preserving historic Fiat 500s. The parade wound through the town’s historic centre, and organisers paid tribute to local motor‑heritage figures.

Both events illustrate a growing Italian focus on linking classic automotive heritage with sustainable mobility solutions and regional tourism promotion.
