INEOS Grenadiers face setbacks and rider changes in Tour de France

The British‑registered Netcompany INEOS squad, competing as INEOS Grenadiers, opened the Tour de France with a strong performance, taking second place in the opening team time trial.

Subsequent stages have been hampered by a crash that left sprinter Dorian Godon with an elbow injury, forcing the team to sit him out of the remaining sprint finishes. Team director Daryl Impey outlined a rotating roster that includes Kevin Vauquelin, Thymen Arensman and world‑champion Filippo Ganna to cover the void, while both Vauquelin and Arensman recovered from earlier falls.

Dutch rider Daan Hoole, speaking ahead of stage 13, praised teammate Olav Kooij’s early sprint victory and noted that the squad must still fine‑tune its lead‑out. He warned that the upcoming phases of the race will be more demanding for the team.
