Brazil announces updates for Enade, Pé-de-Meia, and Prouni programs
Several Brazilian educational updates have been announced regarding national exams and student financial aid programs.
The National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) has released the final results for appeals regarding specialized assistance for the 2026 Enade exam. This service is intended for students requiring specific accommodations, such as people with disabilities, pregnant women, and the elderly. Results are accessible via the Enade System using Gov.br credentials. The Enade exam is scheduled for November 29.
Regarding financial aid, the Pé-de-Meia program will begin its August payment cycle from August 24 to August 31, 2026. Payments are distributed based on the student's birth month and are tied to maintaining at least 80% school attendance. The program aims to reduce dropout rates among public high school students.
Additionally, Prouni beneficiaries in full scholarships may apply for a monthly assistance of R$ 700 to cover study-related expenses. Eligible students must be enrolled in full-time, in-person undergraduate courses lasting at least six semesters. Meanwhile, candidates for the 2026 Encceja exam can now check their testing locations and print confirmation cards through Inep's system.
