INESPRE sells chicken at reduced prices in Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic Institute of Price Stabilization (INESPRE) is selling frozen chicken at prices ranging from RD$33 to RD$50 per pound. This initiative is part of the agency's commercialization programs designed to ensure population access to affordable, high-quality food.

According to INESPRE Director David Herrera Díaz, the institution distributes approximately 150,000 pounds of chicken weekly through its Mobile Warehouses and Producer Markets programs. These initiatives aim to bring food directly to consumers without intermediary costs, providing significant savings for Dominican households.

In October, INESPRE conducted 269 Producer Markets and 663 Mobile Warehouse operations. The agency also participated in regional events such as Expo Agro Ocoa 2026 and the Festival de los Mil Ríos in Elias Piña to expand food access.
