INF Grupa claims leak of 86,000 Croatian citizens' data
The hacking group INF Grupa, believed to operate from Serbia, has claimed responsibility for leaking the personal data of 86,000 Croatian citizens. The group asserts that the information was obtained directly from the Croatian judicial system.
The compromised data includes names, surnames, personal identification numbers (OIB), dates of birth, and unique citizen registration numbers (JMBG). The hackers noted that while JMBG is no longer in official use, it remains utilized internally within the Croatian judicial system.
INF Grupa stated they are releasing the data for free rather than selling it, describing the move as retaliation for recent arrests of individuals they claim are uninvolved with their activities. They also denied that a recently arrested Serbian citizen is a member of their group. As of the latest reports, Croatian authorities have not issued an official response to the breach.
