Infineon acquires C2i Semiconductors to bolster AI data center power solutions
Infineon Technologies AG has announced the acquisition of C2i Semiconductors, a technology company based in Bangalore, India. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
C2i Semiconductors specializes in software-defined multiphase controllers and smart power stages designed for AI data center applications. The acquisition aims to strengthen Infineon’s leadership in power solutions for AI infrastructure and high-performance computing platforms by integrating intelligent digital power management and system-level power architectures.
According to Adam White, president of Infineon’s Power Systems division, the move will create a new center of excellence for digital power technologies in India. The integration of C2i’s expertise in vertical power delivery, including Substrate Integrated Voltages Regulators (SIVR), is intended to help power delivery systems respond more precisely to the dynamic load fluctuations caused by powerful AI processors.
