Infineon and Skeleton Technologies partner on AI data center power

Infineon and Skeleton Technologies have entered a collaboration to develop new power architectures designed for the entire AI data center power chain, from the grid to the core. The partnership aims to address the increasing power density requirements of modern AI workloads and GPU infrastructure.

The collaboration will combine Infineon’s CoolSiC and CoolGaN power semiconductors with Skeleton’s supercapacitor technology and power conversion expertise. Key development areas include next-generation solid-state transformers (SSTs) for medium-voltage AC to high-voltage DC conversion, as well as GaN-based peak-shaving systems.
