Infineon NOR Flash Qualified for Data‑Center BMCs and Automotive Cockpits

Infineon Technologies AG announced that its SEMPER NOR Flash memory has been qualified for ASPEED Technology’s AST2700 Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) and added to the AST2700 Approved Vendor List. The memory provides reliable, secure firmware storage for server management functions such as out‑of‑band monitoring, secure boot and remote updates, helping data‑centre operators maintain resilient operation.

In a separate partnership, Infineon’s 512 Mb Quad SPI NOR Flash was qualified by MediaTek for use in the Dimensity Auto Cockpit platform C‑X1. The automotive‑grade memory will serve as the boot and firmware store for AI‑driven in‑cabin features, including voice assistants, driver monitoring and over‑the‑air updates, while meeting safety standards such as Safe and Secure Boot and AEC‑Q100 qualification. Both qualifications expand Infineon’s presence in critical server and automotive markets.
