INFINTECH conference explores digital banking and AI in Montenegro

The fourth edition of the INFINTECH conference, organized by Logate, is taking place in Porto Montenegro. The event has gathered over 400 decision-makers from the banking, finance, technology, and telecommunications sectors to discuss the digital transformation of the industry.

Key discussions focus on the impact of artificial intelligence, digital banking, cybersecurity, and new payment systems. Marija Šuković, General Secretary of the Association of Banks of Montenegro, noted that technology is fundamentally changing how banks operate, manage risk, and build client trust. Additionally, Ledia Bregu from the Central Bank of Albania announced that an instant payment system involving Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia is expected to launch on November 20.

In a separate regional development, the fifth Business Angel Summit was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The summit brought together international investors and venture capital representatives to connect the regional startup ecosystem with global markets. The event highlighted local innovation, including the startup Starko, which secured a spot in a global competition.
