Influencer Mila sparks controversy over Carrefour City video

Influencer Mila has sparked controversy after posting a video on Instagram filmed at a Carrefour City store in downtown Lyon. Mila claims that during her checkout, an employee recognized her and insulted her with racial and gender-based slurs.

While the video shows a tense exchange between the influencer and the cashier, the specific insults mentioned by Mila are not audible in the footage. Following the post, Carrefour requested the removal of the video, citing legal rights regarding the filming and distribution of identifiable individuals without their consent.

Mila has announced her intention to file a formal complaint, while the retailer has indicated it may also take legal action against her.
