Influencer recommendations influence 81% of Brazilian shoppers
A new edition of the study "The Influence Effect on Consumption" conducted by YouPix with Nielsen finds that 81% of Brazilian consumers have purchased a product or service after an influencer’s recommendation, a figure virtually unchanged from the previous year’s 80% level. The impact spans demographics: 83% of women and 77% of men report buying after an influencer cue, with 82% of 18‑34‑year‑olds and 79% of those over 35 affected. The influence extends across social classes and is not limited to a single click; 64% of respondents research the product further, 40% save the content for later, and 38% note the brand name, while only 20% click the influencer’s link directly. The study highlights that influencer marketing has become a stable component of Brazilian consumer behavior rather than a fleeting trend.
