Influencer Tom Christopher apologises for bathtub left on Pen y Fan

Tom Christopher, a 25‑year‑old influencer from Swansea, filmed himself carrying a bathtub up Pen y Fan, the 2,907‑foot summit of the Brecon Beacons in Wales, on 16‑17 July. He said the stunt was meant to create a "world's highest bath" video and planned to leave the tub for 48 hours before removing it.

The bathtub remained on the summit, drew criticism for its impact on the national park, and was later retrieved by Cardiff Rugby Academy players and park rangers. Christopher apologized, calling the act an "honest mistake" and acknowledging he should have considered the environment. He said the incident was reported as possible fly‑tipping and that he could face a fine; the stunt cost him about £400, leaving him in overdraft.

National Trust rangers noted the bathtub was crushed, and Christopher expressed willingness to perform voluntary work to offset any penalties.
