Influencers share personal reflections on social media

Influencer Ava Karabatić recently shared her views on fellow influencer Meri Banovac. Karabatić noted that she previously followed Banovac because she perceived her as a ‘real’ person compared to other influencers. However, Karabatić stated she stopped following Banovac after her significant weight loss, claiming Banovac’s personality and perceived authenticity changed as a result.

Despite these personal criticisms, Karabatić defended Banovac against recent public backlash regarding a controversial video post about fires, suggesting the influencer did not deserve a ‘public lynching’ for what she believes was an unintentional mistake.

In a separate personal disclosure, influencer Tamara Kalinić shared a past experience of harassment. Kalinić recounted an incident from her time as a pharmacy student in England, where a man sat uncomfortably close to her on an empty bus. She credited an older woman on the bus for intervening and offering her a seat, an event Kalinić said changed her ‘brain chemistry’ and way of thinking.
